Early in the morning, our trekking guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport so we may catch our flight to Lukna. With breathtaking Himalayan vistas, the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is an adventure in and itself. The flight duration is approximately 30 to 40 minutes, depending on weather conditions.

We'll take a brief stop in Lukla before continuing to Phakding. After walking for a few hours along the mighty Dudhkoshi River and across several suspension bridges, we arrive in Phakding. Phakding is a little sherpa settlement on the banks of the Dudhkoshi River at 2,610 metres (8,563 ft), where we'll spend the night in a teahouse.

Another great portion of your tour begins as you head off for Namche Bazaar today. Rising early, the pure mountain air will excite you as you come into daylight.
