Welcome to Kathmandu, standing at 1,400 meters (4,593 feet) above sea level. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our friendly representatives will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Get settled, then soak in the rich cultural atmosphere of the capital. You can walk the vibrant streets of Thamel or, if you prefer, take an excursion to some of the more local UNESCO Heritage Sites to get started. In the evening, attend the trek briefing, where all the journey details will be shared and you will be as prepared as possible for the trek into the Himalayas.

Max Altitude: 1,400 m / 4,593 ft. Accommodation: Hotel

Today we do final preparations for our adventure. After breakfast, there will be time to double-check your gear and make any last minute purchases from the many trekking shops in Kathmandu.

Of course, we would recommend visits to both the amazing Swayambhunath Stupa and a leisurely walk around ancient Durbar Square to explore Kathmandu's vibrant culture. The day will also help your body acclimate to the altitude of Kathmandu. Get some rest tonight and let your body recover, for tomorrow the Himalayas—officially—awaits you.

Beginning with a breathtaking flight from the capital, Kathmandu, to Lukla at an altitude of 2,800 meters/9,186 feet, considered the gateway of the Everest region, it is just from this flight that an outlook of the Himalayan peaks adds something to your journey. Then meet up with the rest of the trekking crew upon your landing at Lukla's Tenzing-Hillary Airport.

Next is a gentle trek to Phakding. It meanders through a number of pictorial villages, crosses over suspension bridges, and passes by the roaring Dudh Kosi River. With serene surroundings and crisp mountain air, this trek will serve as an introduction into the Everest region in the best possible way.

Max Altitude: 2,860 m / 9,383 ft. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerAccommodation: Guesthouse

This is going to be a rather challenging yet very exciting day's journey up to Namche Bazaar, which lies at an altitude of 3,440 meters, or 11,286 feet. The trail weaves its way through lovely pine forests and crosses several suspension bridges that are adorned with prayer flags. Along the way, you will pass by small Sherpa villages such as Monjo, at 2,835 meters or 9,301 feet, where you are officially entering the Sagarmatha National Park.

The final stretch is a steep climb to Namche, and the first view of Everest on the way will make all the trouble worth it. The Namche Bazaar, the lively hub of Khumbu, greets you with its effervescence. Extensive amenities—bakeries, shops for renting or buying trekking gear—are at your beck and call here.

The day for acclimatization and exploration, it is. We will start by hiking up to the Everest View Hotel, mentioned to be one of the world's highest luxury hotels. Being at 3,880 meters or 12,729 feet above sea level, from this vantage point, we take in Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks in panoramic view.

This short hike is good for acclimatization, with breathtaking scenery. Next, take in the breathtaking view of the surroundings and start our descent to 3,780-meter Khumjung Village, where traditional Sherpa culture exists and where we go to visit the historic Khumjung Monastery. We will also visit the Hillary School and the monastery, which houses what is believed to be a Yeti scalp.

Time now to start the journey back to Lukla, looking back on an experience rather enriching in the region of Everest. The downhill trek that revisits scenes is not all, for it enables a person to enjoy the familiar paths at leisure. With ample opportunities to reflect over the adventure, take pictures, and engage with fellow trekkers, definitely the journey is anything but quiet. After reaching Lukla, take some rest, repeat the experiences to your fellow trekkers, and enjoy a farewell dinner marking the end of the trek.

In the morning, you’ll catch a return flight to Kathmandu. After the high-altitude trekking, Kathmandu’s warmth and energy welcome you back. The rest of the day is yours to explore or relax at your hotel. You might choose to indulge in a soothing massage, shop for souvenirs, or simply stroll through the lively markets of Thamel. In the evening, we invite you to a farewell dinner to celebrate your successful trek and reminisce about the unforgettable experiences shared.
